Digital Image 1

I recently picked up Visual Intelligence, by Amy E. Herman, in which means of sharpening perception are discussed. This image–a page from the book, correlates to the boundary-pressing discussion regarding language and the definition of writing that’s been explored this week in that the picture on the page–named “Self-Portrait”–contains a reflected image through an eye all. In photography everything is about setting the scene and capturing its “essence”, similarly, in writing every word chosen is strategic (most times). I found that this sort of reflected portrait that presents the artifice of photography for the viewer to meld well with the similarly explicit recognition of artifice found in Not a Cosmic Convergence.
