I’m cheating a bit for this week’s image, but I think this movie ties in perfectly with creative non-fiction. Truth is a movie that addresses the Killian document controversy. It is all about journalism, but it also reveals the creative side to journalism. We’ve touched on the question of “what is non-fiction” in this movie we see the same question being posed. Who’s to blame when false information is received, who’s to say whether an individual’s perception of the facts is “authentic.” It’s interesting to consider that, in some cases, journalism and creative non-fiction may all just be one large game of telephone . . .
